Porter Airlines launches Ottawa-Vancouver route

Porter Airlines is expanding its route network with the inauguration of flights between Ottawa International Airport (YOW) and Vancouver International Airport (YVR), marking its first connection between the two cities.  The new service will be operated by Porter's new Embraer 195-E2 regional aircraft, offering 132 seats in a single-class configuration.

This expansion is part of Porter's larger strategy to build a coast-to-coast network and provide travellers with an elevated economy experience.

Kevin Jackson, Porter's executive vice president and chief commercial officer said: “The Ottawa-Vancouver route is an important part of our expansion as we build a coast-to-coast network that offers travelers our unique approach to economy air travel. Travelers can connect through our well-established Eastern Canada network and enjoy Porter’s elevated economy experience each step of the way."

Apart from the above route, Porter also introduced Ottawa and Edmonton International Airport (YEG) and Toronto-Pearson International Airport (YYZ) to Victoria International Airport (YYJ).
