Philippine Airlines (PAL) has renewed and extended its long-term engine maintenance agreement with Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance (AFI KLM E&M), continuing its longstanding partnership covering its GE90 engines.
The updated contract, signed on March 25, sees AFI KLM E&M continuing to provide a full suite of services, including shop visits, predictive maintenance, spare parts support and on-wing services.
The agreement has been tailored to support a fleet entering a more mature phase of its lifecycle.
Alvin Kendrich Limqueco, senior vice president and chief supply chain officer at Philippine Airlines, said the renewal would help ensure “seamless operations, dependable service, and solutions suitable to our evolving fleet,” adding that AFI KLM E&M’s expertise makes it “a truly reliable partner”.
AFI KLM E&M also highlighted the strength of the relationship. Pierre Teboul, senior vice president commercial, said the extension “highlights the strong mutual trust we have built over the years” and reflects the company’s ability to adapt to changing fleet requirements.
The partnership also continues to cover support for CFM56-5B engines powering Philippine Airlines’ A320 fleet, supported by a dedicated local service presence.
