Pemco to supply conversion freighters to National Airlines

Pemco World Air Services is converting four 757-200 passenger aircraft to Combi configuration for National Airlines. The cargo airline plans to operate five converted Boeing 757-200 combi aircraft, and the first four are already being converted. The base modification combines Pemco's 757 freighter conversion with Pemco-designed 737-400 Combi modification.

The 757C project includes the installation of a large cargo door and freight handling system, provisions for Class C cargo compartment with automatic fire detection and suppression, installation of an in-flight entertainment system in the passenger compartment, modification of the flight deck to state of the art glass instrumentation, and a full heavy maintenance visit including paint.

Pemco will begin ground and flight testing by the end of 2010.
