Pegasus Airlines places order for 36 A321neo

Pegasus Hava Tasimaciligi AS, Turkey’s low-cost carrier has placed an order for 36 Airbus A321neo aircraft as the airline seeks to maintain a young fleet with low fuel consumptions while moving to an all-Airbus setup, Public Disclosure Platform (KAP) said. The airline plans to retire its remaining fleet of Boeing 737-800s.

In 2012 Pegasus Airlines had placed an order of 100 A320neo aircraft becoming the first Turkish carrier to place such a large order. This initial order will be extended to include a total of 150 new aircraft, with the additional 36 A321neo models being the latest addition, according to a statement

The delivery of the A321neos is not expected to take place until the end of 2029, the KAP statement said.
