Peach expands international capacity as restrictions ease

Peach Aviation is expanding its international capacity with the launch of new services in Japan as well as other parts of Asia. The airline is planning to start its first route connecting Nagoya’s Chubu Airport to Taipei from March 27, 2023. The airline is planning daily service on this route.

Announcing the Nagoya-Taipei route, Takeaki Mori, representative director and CEO, Peach Aviation said: “We are very happy to finally make this happen as we have received requests from many people to operate international flights since we started service at Nagoya (Chubu) Airport in 2020.”

The airline is planning to resume another route to Taiwan connecting Osaka to Kaohsiung from August 2023. The service was suspended due to pandemic restrictions.

Going ahead, the airline will resume routes from Osaka and Tokyo to Seoul and Tokyo and Okinawa to Taipei starting August 2023. The airline started Osaka-Hong Kong service from January 2023.

Peach serves the most routes from Japan to Taiwan as compared to other Japanese carriers, the airline said. The airline is planning it’s the expansion of its first medium-haul route between Osaka and Bangkok which was launched in December 2022 and will be operated daily from summer 2023.

Peach currently operates 31 domestic routes and 17 international routes with a fleet of 32 aircraft.
