PARAMOUNT TO FLY AGAIN

The Ministry of Civil Aviation has approved a proposal for Chennai-based Paramount Airways to import and purchase 20 aircraft including eight Airbus A-320 and six Bombardier Q 400 from a lessor. The airline will also ‘wet lease’ six more aircraft from an airline in Turkey.

The airline has been forced to halt operations when its scheduled operator licence was suspended because it no longer had the required number of aircraft in its fleet.
