ORIX Aviation Systems Limited completed the successful acquisition and delivery of 9 aircraft across two separate transactions last quarter. The company delivered seven new 737 MAX 8 to United Airlines as a part of a large sale and leaseback agreement with the airline. Last quarter ORIX also delivered two A320neo aircraft as part of a SLB package with Spirit Airlines.
Commenting on the transactions, James Meyler, chief executive officer, ORIX Aviation, said: “We are delighted to have successfully completed the acquisition of these aircraft, yet another example of ORIX delivering for its shareholder and further demonstrates how ORIX Aviation continues to successfully execute its aircraft acquisition plan. These transactions deepen our relationships with both United and Spirit who are long-standing customers of ORIX Aviation. Building on these transactions, we have an additional $400m of new technology aircraft committed for delivery this financial year with top tier airline partners.”
