ORIX Aviation CEO James Meyler has been promoted to group executive of ORIX Corporation Japan. This new responsibility will be in addition to his existing role and will take effect on January 1, 2025.
Meyler was appointed CEO of ORIX Aviation in 2018, and holds over 25 years of experience within aviation. In addition, he has served as a board of director of Avolon since February 2022.

ORIX Aviation has also appointed John O'Donoghue as general counsel and will formally take up the position on April 1, 2025.
“John has been a key member of our management team since he joined our company, and I am looking forward to working closely with him over the coming months and years ahead,” said Meyler.
O'Donoghue has held a number of positions within ORIX Aviation's legal department since he joined the company in 2018. He was appointed assistant general counsel of ORIX Aviation in July 2022.
