Ontic, a UK-based aerospace OEM for aircraft parts, has announced the opening of a new MRO facility in Tewkesbury, UK.
The purpose-built site will "transform" how Ontic supports airlines and operators, the company said, delivering faster turnaround times, greater transparency and the confidence of OEM repairs.
The facility will open in phases beginning in January 2026, and will be fully operational by Q4 2026.
Purpose-built for aerospace, the 5,900sqm site includes pneumatic and hydraulic infrastructure, avionics workshop with ISO7 Clean room, non-destructive testing (NDT), a machine shop and a dark room.
At launch, the site will unite Ontic’s 200 MRO specialists – including engineers, technicians, customer service, supply chain and logistics agents – in a single hub.
Brian Sartain, chief operating officer of Ontic, said the launch of the facility marks a “step-change” in how the company supports its customers.
“By consolidating all our UK aftermarket expertise in one dedicated site, we are investing in the people, capability and infrastructure to consistently deliver a faster, more responsive and more transparent service.
“Alongside our new Miramar facility in the US, this is a significant milestone in our commitment to keeping established fleets flying safely for decades to come.”
Dave Mayne, MRO director for Europe at Ontic, added: “This is exactly what our customers have been asking for – an OEM repair, consistently delivered within the required turnaround time, and backed by an OEM warranty.”
The Tewkesbury site is part of Ontic’s $30m global investment in MRO facilities on both sides of the Atlantic.
