Government entity Oman Aviation Group is looking to raise $6 billion to finance the expansion of Oman Air and Oman Airports up until 2030.
Reuters is reporting that the Government-owned entity, which was formed in February 2018, has issued a request for proposals to local and international banks with the first tranche expected to be raised by mid-2020.
In a statement, Mustafa al-Hinai, said: “To promote growth we are working on a master development across all our airports. We are looking to develop airport cities which we will require financing for. The second thing we are looking for is expansion after 2023 for our airports and our airline.”
Oman Aviation Group includes Oman Air, Oman Airports and Oman Aviation Services.
