Oman Air to boost frequency on Muscat-Salalah route due to peak holiday season

Oman Air is all set to increase the flight frequency between Muscat and Salalah, starting June 15. This route will be served with eight daily flights until September 15. Salalah is a highly popular tourism spot to the south of the country.

With the approaching Dhofar Khareef season the airline is expecting huge influx of tourists from across the globe.

On select days this summer, the airline is set to deploy up to 12 daily flights to Salalah to channel the maximum number of tourists from the Middle East region and beyond through its base at Muscat.

The fuel prices at Salalah Airport have also been subsidised, aiding Oman Air to operate this service with reduced operational cost and offer reduced ticket fares.

Currently the airline operates three daily roundtrip services between the two cities using the airline's fleet of 25 B737 jets. The duration between the two cities is approximately 1 hour and 35 minutes.
