Okay Airways overworks pilots, says CAAC

Following a random inspection of its pilots, the CAAC North China Regional Administration has ruled that Okay Airways violated regulations on how many hours pilots and co-pilots can work. As a result, the regulator has suspended the airline’s application for introducing new aircraft, cut flight schedules by 20 percent in next three months and revoke over 10 pilot licenses, and imposed a 500,000-yuan fine.

Okay Airways said in a statement that it never compromises on safety and fully complies with its regulator's mandates. The airline agreed to abide by the aviation authority's decision and pledged to resolve the problems.
