Norwegian unveils new routes out of Sweden for summer 2026

Low-cost airline Norwegian is set to open three new routes out of Sweden in summer 2026, as it continues to expand its presence in its neighbouring market.

From Stockholm Arlanda Airport, the airline will launch direct flights to Hamburg and Milan, and from Göteborg Landvetter Airport, it will launch direct flights to Tirana, the capital of Albania.

Starting in May 2026, Norwegian will fly four times weekly from Stockholm to Hamburg and Milan, while the Göteborg to Tirana service will begin in June.

The new routes mean that, in summer 2026, Norwegian will operate more than 60 routes to 50 destinations from Sweden.

The announcement follows a “record summer" for Norwegian, which carried 2.4 million passengers in August, according to data from parent company Norwegian Group.

Norwegian's capacity was up 2% in August, while passenger traffic, measured in revenue passenger kilometres (RPK), was also up 2%.
