Norwegian Group carried 2.8 million passengers in August 2025. This consisted of 2.4 million passengers for Norwegian and 366,216 passengers for Wideroe, marking the end of a record peak season for the airline.
“August was a strong conclusion to a record summer, demonstrating that our preparations for the peak season were successful,” said Norwegian CEO Geir Karlsen. “Our network was well adapted to demand, and we further strengthened our product offering for our customers.”
Norwegian's capacity in August was up 2%, while actual passenger traffic, measured in revenue passenger kilometres (RPK), was up 2% in August. Load factor was up 0.2 percentage points to 86%.
Wideroe's capacity was down 0.3%, while load factor was up 1.1 percentage points to 77.5%.
Norwegian said it will announce its summer 2026 programme later on September 10, 2025.
