Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright has announced that 54 of its lawyers received promotions to partner in locations around the world and director in South Africa, effective January 1, 2022.
The promotions span 11 global practice areas: litigation and disputes (18 lawyers); corporate, M&A and securities (10); banking and finance (9); intellectual property (4); employment and labor (3); tax (3); real estate (2); projects (2); antitrust and competition (1); bankruptcy, financial restructuring and insolvency (1); and information governance, privacy and cybersecurity (1). Twenty-three of the 54 promoted lawyers are women (43 percent).

Two of the lawyers promoted have a focus on aviation, Zayba Drabu and Annabelle Wheeler.
Drabu is a litigation and dispute resolution lawyer based in London and primarily represents lessors and banks in asset finance-related disputes and matters including the delivery and delay of aircraft, contractual terms, maintenance obligations, defaults, redelivery obligations under aircraft leases and termination.
Wheeler is a dispute resolution lawyer for the aviation sector based in London and Munich. Her work focuses on the whole gamut of aviation disputes, including those concerning aircraft purchase, leasing and financing, repossessions, maintenance and airport contracts, insurance coverage, product liability and regulation within the aviation industry. She has experience of all major dispute forums, including English and international courts, and domestic and international arbitration under LCIA and ICC rules.
