Northern Pacific Airways set for commercial launch as it receives FAA nod

Northern Pacific Airways is all set for commercial launch in a few days as it received the heads-up from Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The airline chief executive Rob McKinney posted about the FAA approval on a social media post.

“6:30pm tonight (Saturday) A call from the CMO manager of the FAA — passed every test,” the post read. “Passed and exceeded all expectations. Ravn Alaska as Northern Pacific Airways is authorized as a global airline flying large jets. So many Thx”

Northern Pacific Airways is an upcoming long-haul airline based in Anchorage, Alaska, United States that plans to commence operations in Summer 2023.

In March 2023, Northern Pacific formally announced its first route, though the airline had to delay the inaugural service a couple of times, as it hadn’t yet received FAA approval. As of July 14, 2023, the airline plans to fly once weekly between Ontario, California (ONT), and Las Vegas, Nevada (LAS) by the Boeing 757-200 with the main focus on leisure travellers.
