Norse Atlantic Airways has agreed to extend the term for four subleased 787-8 Dreamliners by up to one year from the original return date. These aircraft will now be redelivered to Norse between the end of March and the end of May 2025, with the lease on an additional 787-9 extended by two months before returning to the airline in early May 2024.
“This extension to the sublease agreements for four of our Dreamliner aircraft provides a further opportunity to increase secured total cash profit during the lease period,” commented Bjørn Tore Larsen, CEO and founder of Norse Atlantic Airways. He confirmed that the airline intends to operate 12 787s during the summer 2024 season, building up to a fully operational fleet of 15 aircraft in 2025; growing steadily in line with market demand.
All of the 15 787 aircraft currently in Norse’s fleet are on long-term flexible lease terms, agreed during 2021 during a period of historical low prices, which is fixed for the full duration of the leases.
