Nok Air cancels flights due to pilot shortages

Nok Air has cancelled two return flights from Bangkok to Chiang Mai after continued pilot shortages. Nok Scoot Airlines has offered to fly the affected passengers.
Nok Air CEO Patee Sarasin has told media that “some” pilots had resigned due to company restructuring – it is not known how many pilots had resigned.

The CEO today said in a Tweet: "This is what you called a "Growing pain" will be back better for our team, our company, and shareholders [sic]. And of course for our customers."

He added: "We apologize to our customers for all the inconvenience, but with the changes we will be even better in the very near future."

Nok Air canceled several flights last week, and 20 flights were canceled on Tuesday.
The Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT) is investigating the situation at Nok Airlines.
