In a Grand Opening ceremony Lufthansa Technik and the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico have celebrated the achievement of the operational status of Lufthansa Technik Puerto Rico (LTPR).
On the occasion of the arrival of the first A320 from JetBlue Airways, the second launching customer of LTPR, a further overhaul line of the facility was opened on-time.
Lufthansa Technik Puerto Rico had already started operations on July 21, 2015 with its first overhaul line for launching customer Spirit.
The festive ceremony was spectacularly accompanied by the Lufthansa Orchestra. In the hangar alongst both sides of the Orchestra stage two overhaul lines were visible; Spirit Airlines Airbus A319 at the left and a JetBlue A320 at the right side.
