The Nigerian All Progressives Congress (APC) party has proposed that the country should merge its airlines and create a national carrier in partnership with a global airline to boost revenue and create jobs.
The APC strategy document suggests "merging all airlines currently with AMCON", to serve as a West and Central African hub. It further proposes upgrading the airport in Abuja by building a second runway, and that airline should be forced to have a minimum of five aircraft, rather than three currently.
