Newcastle International Airport has successfully secured a new £364 million bank finance package, which includes a £20 million green loan. The green loan is dedicated to projects aimed at achieving net zero carbon status by 2035.
The deal will refinance existing facilities and supporting its long-term growth and sustainability targets.
The refinancing has been arranged with a seven-bank lending syndicate, with AIB joining alongside other UK infrastructure lenders.
AIB said that alongside the term loan and capital expenditure facilities, it is also participating in NIAL's new interest rate hedging arrangements with other syndicate banks.
