New VP technical services for Southwest

Southwest Airlines has announced that Trevor Stedke has been named Vice President of Technical Services. In this position, Stedke will provide Leadership for Engineering Services and Standards, Quality, Maintenance Safety, Powerplant, and Aircraft Programs.
Stedke comes to Southwest from Federal Express, where he served for 15 years in progressively responsible positions, culminating in his role as the Managing Director of Aircraft Engineering Planning and Performance. His areas of responsibility at FedEx included Aircraft Engineering; Aircraft Maintenance Programs; Propulsion Engineering; Air Operations Technology; Engineering Planning; Aircraft Reliability; Air Operations Standards, Analysis, and Controls; Engineering Support; and Airline Fleet Management (Fleet Teams).
“Trevor’s passion for excellence, coupled with his experience, will be an asset to our Team and will serve him well in his new role,” said Southwest Airlines Senior Vice President of Technical Operations Brian Hirshman, to whom Stedke will report.
Stedke succeeds the previous Vice President of Technical Services, who left the Company earlier this year. Stedke begins his position at Southwest Airlines on June 20.
