Eric Eugène, Global Head Of Asset & Export Finance at BNP Paribas, has been promoted to a new role within the bank. Eric joins the risk division of BNP Paribas and is appointed Global Head of Risk Corporate. Eric will be a member of the BNP Paribas Risk Executive Board, of the Risk Corporate & Institutional Banking (CIB) Management Team and will also sit at the CIB CCFA (Corporate Coverage, Financing & Advisory) EMEA Board. Eric’s new appointment will be effective May 2.
Eric will be succeeded by François Artignan, currently Head of BNP Paribas’ EMEA Media and Telecom Industry Group. François has held several management positions, in Paris, London and New York, with responsibilities ranging from client coverage to advisory and financing.

Eric joined BNP Paribas and its aviation finance department in 1991. He moved to Tokyo in 1995 to create an Asian presence for the Bank in aviation. In 1998, he joined Internal Audit and was Head of Mission. In 2001, he became Global Head of Aviation Finance. In 2007, he was made Global Head of Transportation, adding Shipping & Offshore to his responsibilities, and was reconfirmed in this position following the acquisition of Fortis by BNP Paribas. He then took charge, in November 2014, of the newly created Asset & Export Finance department, encompassing Transportation (which he directly heads and which will also be headed by François), Asset Leasing Solutions and Export Finance.
Existing heads of Aviation (Eric Chilton in NYC, Bertrand Dehouck in Paris and Nicolas Parrot in Singapore), Shipping & Offshore (Arnold Wu in Hong-Kong, Sandrine Bergeroo-Campagne and Vincent Pascal in Paris), Asset Leasing Solutions (Philippe Lombard as Global Head in Paris, Kenji Maeda in Tokyo) and Export Finance (Yasser Henda as Global Head in Paris) remain unchanged.
