The supervisory board of Flughafen München GmbH (FMG) has selected Jost Lammers as the future chairman of the management board.
He was appointed managing director for a period of five years with effect from 1 January 2020.
Lammers is to take over from Michael Kerkloh, who is set to retire after more than 17 years of work at the head of the FMG Group.
Albert Füracker, chairman of the supervisory board of Flughafen München GmbH, commented: "Mr. Lammers is responsible for an impressive airport development in Budapest in the top leadership role. We have thus chosen a candidate who, based on his experience, competences and personality as well as his age, has the best conditions to successfully set Bavaria's gateway to the world in the face of the many challenges ahead. lead."
Together with Thomas Weyer (managing director finance and infrastructure) and Andrea Gebbeken (managing director commercial and security), Lammers will form the new management team at Munich Airport.
The graduate economist and certified aviation expert is currently head of Budapest Airport as chief executive officer. Prior to that, he was chairman of the management board of Düsseldorf Ground Handling GmbH and at Hochtief AirPort GmbH as asset manager for Düsseldorf Airport and project manager for Athens Airport.
