Cathay Pacific has appointed Rebecca Sharpe, Group Director Finance of Hong Kong Aircraft Engineering Company, to succeed Martin Murray as Chief Financial Officer of Cathay Pacific Airways, effective from January 25, 2021. Murray will become Finance Director of Swire Pacific from April 1, 2021, taking over from Michelle Low, who will retire from the Swire Group after 33 years of service.
Patrick Healy, Chairman of Cathay Pacific Airways, thanked Murray for his nine years of service as CFO of Cathay Pacific, and recognised the leading role he played in the airline's recapitalisation earlier this year. He also welcomed Sharpe as the new CFO. “Rebecca brings with her a wealth of experience and financial expertise from a range of Swire companies and a variety of different industries. I look forward to working closely with Rebecca as we seek to emerge from the current crisis with a stronger and more competitive business model for the Cathay Pacific Group.
