Jet Zero Australia and Trovio have announced a strategic partnership to develop a ‘book and claim’ registry for Australian sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and renewable diesel.
The registry, which will be built around Trovio’s CorTenX technology, will ‘support the capture and retention of provenance data throughout the supply chain to meet the required standards for the issuance and retirement of SAF credits and SAF end-user reduction credits,’ explains Jet Zero Australia. It has also been selected by the Australian government’s Clean Energy Regulator for a new unit and certificate register for the Australian National Registry of Emissions Unit.
The new register aims to be live and fully operational prior to the completion of Jet Zero Australia’s first SAF initiative, Project Ulysses, which is located in North Queensland.
