Estonian Air has posted a net loss of €6.4 million for the nine months ending September 30, compared to a loss of €6 million in the year-ago period. Revenue fell by 6% to €52.2 million, with costs up by 1% to €35.8 million during the reporting period. The airline carried 5% fewer passengers in the first nine months of the year with just 403,000 boardings. ASKs were flat at 629 million, while load factor declined by 2.4 percentage point to 66.1%.
Estonian Air is waiting for investment from Infortar Group, which will take a majority share in the airline pending approval from the government and the approval of the airline’s modified restructuring plan from the European Commission.
