National Airlines adds 747-400 Extended Range Freighter to its fleet

National Airlines recently took delivery of a Boeing 747-400 Extended Range Freighter (ERF). This move is a part of National Airlines’ strategy to expand its network to meet the rising global air cargo demand.

According to National Airlines, the new 747 ERF is a fuel-efficient freighter featuring a nose door and a large side door with a maximum gross payload of 128 metric tons.

Christopher Alf, Chairman of National Air Cargo Holdings, said: “The introduction of the B747-400 ERF aircraft is part of our greater vision to modernize our fleet and enhance our service offerings for our customers. Our prime focus is not just rapid fleet expansion, but also to offer newer and innovative air freight solutions to the post-COVID global market to meet growing specialized cargo demands.”

National said that with this new addition it will offer additional freighter capacity to carry lengthy, odd-sized, bulk, and delicate cargo across its global network of over 200 airports within a stipulated time frame. National Airlines will continue with its expansion plan to add more freighters to its fleet, the airline added.
