MTU reports strong profit growth in full-year 2025

MTU Aero Engines has reported an adjusted net profit of €968 million for full-year 2025, marking a 27% increase on 2024. 

Revenues reached a record €8.7bn, climbing 16% and adjusted operating profits grew 16% to a record €8.7bn.

“These figures show that we not only achieved new all-time highs but also delivered on what we promised,” said MTU CFO Katja Garcia Vila. “We translated strong demand into strong performance and strong results, which means we are moving forward from a position of strength.” 

Adjusted EBIT was up 29% to €1.4bn, with the OEM business up 43% to €873 million and commercial maintenance up 9% to €478 million. 

“We made the most of market opportunities in 2025 and stayed on our successful course despite ongoing challenges,” said MTU Aero Engines CEO Johannes Bussmann. “The long term growth prospects for our industry are positive, and we believe we are extremely well positioned to reap the benefits.”

The company has guided strong growth for 2026, with revenues expected to reach €9.2bn to €9.7bn for the year. 

MTU said its commercial series business is “likely to see the strongest gains” with revenue growth expected to be in the mid- to high-teens. Spare parts revenue growth is expected to be low- to mid-teens, while commercial maintenance is expected to grow low- to mid-high teens.

The company is targeting revenues of between €13bn and €14bn by 2030/
