MTU Maintenance sees all-time high for shop visits in 2023
MTU Maintenance saw an all-time high for MRO shop visits in 2023 at over 1,300, which included its joint ventures. The volume was mostly driven by the high demand for MRO services for the CFM56-5B/7, which was up 91%. Additionally, expansions in Dallas and Zhuhai have boosted the company's capabilities and capacities. ""MTU Maintenance's continued growth is the result of the entrepreneurial attitude and mindset our people bring to work each day,"" said MTU Aero Engines chief program officer Michael Schreyogg. ""2023 was the strongest and, at the same time, the most challenging year in the history of our MRO business."" He added: ""Last year’s accomplishments give me confidence that our on-going and planned projects will bring even further benefits across our network, enabling us to serve both our customers and the strong global demand for MRO.""
