The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is conducting an investigation into United Airlines Flight 433, reports Bloomberg, after a missing panel was identified during a post-landing inspection by the airline.
The 737-800 had flown from San Francisco to Oregon without incident. The missing panel was subsequently noticed while the aircraft was on the ground, with images on social media indicating a torn-away panel located near the aircraft’s landing gear. The FAA has confirmed it will investigating how the panel detached.
