The Milestone Aviation Group has signed a lease agreement with Brazilian offshore operator Líder Aviação for a Sikorsky S-92 helicopter, which will support Lider’s operations for Brazil’s national oil company Petrobas.
The aircraft will be delivered in the coming months with an offshore passenger transport configuration, after which it will be deployed on long-range missions across Brazil. It will augment the AW139 platform currently on lease to Lider from Milestone.
“The Brazilian offshore industry continues to be one of the most dynamic markets for offshore helicopter passenger transport and the advanced capabilities and operational standards of the S-92 mean that it is well-suited to support such missions,” commented Sebastien Moulin, head of Europe and Americas, Milestone Aviation.
Lider first introduced the S-92 to Brazil more than 15 years ago. In 2024, it plans to expand its fleet by six aircraft through operating leases.
