Allegiant's fourth quarter 2024 passenger numbers for its scheduled services declined 3.5% to 3.9 million. In addition, its full year passengers declined 2.2% to 16.8 million.
Revenue passenger miles (RPM) declined 2.2% in the fourth quarter and by 2.1% for the full year. Capacity for the quarter was up marginally by 1.7% in the fourth quarter and relatively flat in the full year, increasing only 0.6%.
Load factor was down 2.3 percentage points in the full year to 83.6%, while fourth quarter load factor fell 3.1 percentage points to 80.2%.
However, the airline closed the year with a more positive note, with passengers climbed 13.9% to 1.5 million in December 2024. In addition, RPMs were up 14.8% in the month, while capacity was up 16.4%. However, load factor was down 1.1 percentage point to 81.4%.
