MGR FOANTEXT LAUNCHES MGR SOFTWALL

MGR Foamtex has produced MGRSoftWall, a soft vertical panel for aircraft interiors that also meets stringent flammability requirements.

Typically, many of the surfaces around an aircraft seat, other than the cushions and arm rests, are unyielding and non-permeable. This makes cleaning easier but does nothing to enhance passenger comfort. The advent of lie flat beds in First and Business Class cabins has led to even stronger demand for soft surfaces to surround the passenger and improve their experience during flight.

MGRSoftWall is a new soft trim panel that meets the latest flammability requirements for heat release, smoke emission and toxicity.  As well as meeting those requirements, looking attractive and feeling good to the touch, MGRSoftWall is also capable of being changed out quickly and very cost effectively using its quick release system, making refurbishment easy and meets the critically important demands of maintenance schedules too.

Cathay Pacific’s new Business Class product uses MGRSoftWall, which will be progressively installed across their long-haul A330-300 and Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, starting in March this year.

MGR developed MGRSoftWall in partnership with Zotefoams.
