MERS scares off more airlines from South Korea

China Eastern Airlines and Okay Airways plan to cancel flights from Ningbo to South Korea amid the Middle East Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus (MERS-CoV) scare in that country. China Eastern, which has flights from Ningbo to Jeju, has cancelled all departure flights for this month, while the Tianjin-based carrier also cut the flights to Daegu dramatically. Meanwhile, airports in China have strengthened quarantine inspections on inbound passengers from countries that have confirmed cases of MERS.
