Indonesia’s State Enterprises Ministry is recommending Indosat director Erik Meijer be considered for a board position at airline Garuda Indonesia.
“We will propose Erik to be on Garuda Indonesia’s board of directors at their shareholders meeting,” State-Owned Enterprises Minister Dahlan Iskan said.
“Garuda is growing, commercial airplanes must be stronger now. Garuda Indonesia must go international,” Dahlan said of Meijer’s candidacy.“[Emir] needs a strong team for Garuda because the competition is now stiff.”
