The Monarch Group, parent company of Monarch Airlines and Monarch Aircraft Engineering, has appointed Sir Roy McNulty, currently a Non-Executive Director, as Group Chairman; and Andrew Swaffield, currently Managing Director of Monarch Airlines, as Group Chief Executive.
They will take over the responsibilities of Iain Rawlinson, Executive Chairman, who steps down from the Board after five years with the Group.
Andrew Lavery has also been appointed as CFO.
McNulty is currently Chairman of Gatwick Airport, and has previously held the same role at NATS and the CAA.
Andrew Swaffield joined Monarch Airlines in April 2014 from Avios Group, where he was Managing Director for seven years from 2006.
On the announcement of the appointment, McNulty said: "On behalf of the Mantegazza family, the Group's principal shareholder, I would like to thank Iain for his five years of service to Monarch where he has strengthened the Group and repositioned Monarch Airlines as a differentiated scheduled low-cost carrier with a focus on superior customer service. He leaves with our best wishes.”
