Malaysian Airlines System Bhd has signed a memorandum of understanding ATR to buy 36 ATR 72-600, which will deliver in H2 2013.
Wholly owned carrier Firefly will take 20 of the 36 aircraft, while MASwings, a MAS unit that flies rural routes in Sabah and Sarawak states, will take the rest.
