Malaysia's state investment fund Khazanah Nasional Bhd. has reaffirmed its plans to restructure Malaysian Airlines, which currently involves cutting a quarter of its staff and withdrawing operations from several cities in China and Europe.
The job cuts are expected to be strongly opposed by the airline’s employees’ union.
Khazanah also stated that a committee will be formed to find a successor to current CEO Ahmad Jauhari Yahya, whose term runs out in September.
