The Advancing Women in Aviation Roundtable (AWAR) has announced Margaret Clandilion, one of the first female executives to work in the aircraft leasing industry, as the recipient of this year’s Trailblazer Award.
The US-registered nonprofit corporation’s serves to engage with CEOs and other senior executives to promote the development and advancement of women leaders in the aviation industry. The Trailblazer Award is presented annually to individuals who have ‘made extraordinary contributions to the advancement of women in aviation,’ or who have personally broken the “glass ceilings” within their own organisations.
Clandillon started her career at GPA Group, holding multiple senior management roles in finance and rising to become General Counsel. She then co-founded Pembroke Capital Limited, leveraging her deep knowledge of all aspects of aviation leasing, sales, finance, ABS, marketing and legal risks. She currently serves as chair of High Ridge Aviation, chair of Navigator Aviation and Gilead companies, and the chair of Altitude Investor companies.
