Anyone using Manchester airport regularly will know that it can no longer cope with its current levels passenger traffic. Now the owners of Manchester Airport plan to invest £1bn over 10 years to upgrade. Manchester Airport grew passenger numbers by 6% in its last financial year and expects to add another 5% in the 2015-16 period. The investment, funded by a combination of improving cash flow and additional debt, will involve expanding the main terminal building and improving another terminal.
