Malaysia Airlines receives second A330neo

Malyasia Airlines received its second A330neo, the company said on February 18, 2025.

“Our second A330neo has officially touched down in Kuala Lumpur, marking yet another milestone in our fleet modernization journey,” said the airline in a LinkedIn post.

The aircraft — 9M-MNH — is part of the airline's parent company Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG) order for 20 of the aircraft type it had agreed to lease from Avolon. The remaining aircraft will be delivered through 2028.

The transaction was first announced in August 2022, comprising the placement of 10 A330neo aircraft from Avolon's orderbook and 10 A330neos to be acquired by Avolon from MAG from through sale and leaseback.
