Malindo Air has appointed Mushafiz Mustafa Bakri as its new CEO, effective 23 September.
The move follows its previous CEO Chandran Rama Muthy taking on a new role in the Lion Air Group - owners of the airline.
According to a recent press release, Chandran Rama Muthy will take on a new role in Lion Group as its group strategic director - continuing to remain as a shareholder of Malindo Airways.
As part of the new role, Muthy will be tasked to oversee new developments and strategic directions for all of the company’s five carriers. As well as putting in place financial management systems and develop alternative business streams.
Lion Group operates out of Indonesia, while Malindo Air and Thai Lion Air operate out of Malaysia and Thailand, respectively.
