Maldives is all set for a new airline startup, BeOnd, which is planning to launch commercial operations in early 2023. The airline is owned by SIMDI Group, a Maldivian company that provides products to the hospitality industry, and ARABESQUE, a UAE-based investment firm.
The airline is planning to expand its network to 60 global destinations eventually and promises premium, luxury travel.
The likely destinations are Europe, Asia, Africa, and even Australia; initial destinations will include Dubai, Hong Kong, Milan, Munich, Paris, Riyadh, Singapore, Taipei, Vienna, and Zurich. As per the airline website, the flights will be on Airbus A32neo with just 68 fully flat business class seats, in a 2-2 configuration.
The airline will also provide premium services like baggage check-in at home, premium transfers to the airport, a special lounge, and inflight cuisine.
