Malaysia Airlines launched its highly-anticipated new route to Darwin, capital of the Northern Territory in Australia, on November 1. UK passengers can now enjoy a four times weekly service to Darwin, flying from London Heathrow to Kuala Lumpur on the double-daily A380 flight before a quick transit onto the new and improved 737-800 aircraft to complete their journey.
Malaysia Airlines is also increasing frequency from Kuala Lumpur to key Australian destinations. Flights from Kuala Lumpur to Sydney will increase to 21 weekly from 5 February 2014 and flights to Melbourne increased to triple daily from 21 November 2013.
Flights from Kuala Lumpur to Auckland, New Zealand also on the A330 aircraft increased from six times weekly to a daily service from 24 November and will be permanent effective 30 March.
