Lynx Air has launched its inaugural flight to Cancún, Mexico, with direct services scheduled to operate six times a week between Cancún International Airport and Toronto Pearson International Airport.
The low-cost Canadian carrier is “excited to be expanding to Mexico, the third county in our network,” commented Vijay Bathija, chief commercial officer of Lynx. The airline commenced operations less than two years ago and Bathija explained the “choice of Cancún as [its] first true beach destination was easy” as it is a “very popular holiday spot for Canadians”.
Kurush Minocher, executive director, airlines relations and customer experience for Greater Toronto Airports Authority, added: “Cancún is our highest-demand international destination, with more than 2,000 passengers headed down to the beach every day”.
