Lufthansa has announced it will invest heavily in Munich airport to raise capacity by more than 40% from 2015.
The German airline will invest €650 million jointly with the airport’s governing body, FMG to build a satellite terminal to boost annual capacity by 11 million passengers.
Munich recorded 37.2 million passengers in 2009, placing it second in terms of capacity in the German airport rankings.
