Lufthansa Technik has made Lufthansa Industry Solutions (LHIND) "a 100% subsidiary", it announced on January 24.
The deal will allow Lufthansa Technik harness "the expertise of more than 2,300 digital experts" and help it provide "even more digital services" for its maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services, after its recent acquisition of Swiss-based AMOS, a software system for aircraft technical support.
Adding LHIND "enables a wide range of unprecedented digital analytics in the technical operations process", according to Lufthansa Technik, which plans more acquisitions in the sector.
