Lufthansa Technik Malta (LTM) has completed its first base maintenance work on a 787 Dreamliner with the completion of a C-check for LOT Polish Airlines. It follows LTM announcing last year it would expand its product portfolio to include 787 aircraft.
""After years of servicing only Airbus models here in Malta, it feels special that we now once again actively service a Boeing aircraft type,"" said LTM CEO Maria Cilia. ""And with LOT’s unique special livery, what better way could there have been to introduce the Dreamliner in our facility.""
LTM vice president central sales Europe and CIS Andreas van de Kuil added: ""The recent layover not only marked the first 787 check for our team in Malta, it moreover marked our first ever base maintenance services for our valued Polish customer.""
