Lufthansa Technik will support Eurowings' A320 family fleet, after signing a five-year agreement with the airline's technical operations department, Eurowings Technik.
Lufthansa will conduct different letter checks on approximately 40 of Eurowings' aircraft during winter seasons through its two exclusive lines at Lufthansa Technik Budapest and two additional lines at Lufthansa Technik Sofia.
""The continued trust of Eurowings and the dedication of four lines demonstrates that our base maintenance services and aircraft modification programs are tailored to our customer’s needs by thinking beyond the obvious,"" said Lufthansa Technik vice president and chief commercial officer aircraft maintenance services Marcus Motschenbacher.
Eurowings head of technical fleet management and Eurowings Technik managing director Matthias Gruber added: ""Based on our long-standing cooperation, we are delighted about the new base maintenance contract with Lufthansa Technik, which will enable us to continue to guarantee the high quality standards in the technical reliability of our aircraft. It also gives us the flexibility we need to get our fleet ready for the summer during the winter season.""
Eurowings operates an all-A320 family fleet of over 100 aircraft.
